Everybody Must Know It! Useful Information For Your Health!

A history of HIV
It all began in 1981 when a fairly young Americans began to address to the doctors one by one who become ill with Kaposi’s sarcoma and other ailments, previously observed only in elderly people with low immunity. The reason for this was unknown, and a variety of crazy theories immediately began to be produced.
In 1983 French doctor Luc Montagnier first separated HIV from the blood of the patients. This calms the supporters of the theory of radioactive and chemical nature of HIV, but immediately gave birth to new legends: about the Soviet biological weapons and African tribes who contracted HIV during sex with a chimpanzee.
The real story of the virus birth no one knows so far, but given the propensity of HIV to the strong mutation (which actually doesn’t give the body to recognize it in time and prevents the development of drugs), it came into being quite naturally, as another link in evolution. The most common mutation is a version of HIV from SIV – simian immunodeficiency virus in Africa. Apparently, in the 50′s or 60′s, because of the revitalized African migration to America and Europe it got to the other continents.

Symptoms
The problem is that, apart from the analysis, other ways to detect HIV almost aren’t exist. In the first stage of infection an infected person may show symptoms similar to flu, but soon the body begins to fight the virus and suppresses it for some time. The virus then saves power for years doesn’t manifesting itself. With the increasing concentration of the virus the number of lymphocytes is decreased and the immunity is decreased. A person becomes unable to compete with other so-called opportunistic infections – those that the body of any person tends to have, but suppressed by a healthy immune system. These are tuberculosis, pneumonia, fungal infections, histoplasmosis, Kaposi’s sarcoma, and others. One cannot deal with them by only medicines without immunity and he usually dies.

But it’s a kind averaged version. Some infected with HIV is rapidly fading for 1-2 years, and some live 20 or 30 years, and even a lifetime, never falling sick the AIDS.

Can you get infected by HIV-positive?
Fortunately HIV is very weak in itself. It quickly dies in the open air and in the free state it is destroyed by an overwhelming majority of disinfectants and antiseptics. Communication and living together with HIV-positive person is absolutely safe – HIV is not transmitted through food, the dishes, or the clothing. There are only three ways of infection:
1. At the contact with blood containing HIV of the blood flow of a healthy person.
2. Through a sexual contact.
3. From a mother to a child during pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding.
As for the sex everything is not so terrible – sex with an HIV-positive partner cannot guarantee 100% transmission of the virus. In Kenya, some women have antibodies that protect them from the possibility of contracting sexually transmitted infections.

But you shouldn’t be inspired by the Kenyan experience. Don’t take our speech as tediousness, but the condom, or better yet – a constant, not seen in infidelities partner is the only option. Rumors about that, they say, no condom can save from the virus is a nonsense. HIV can be transmitted only with the liquid and the liquid condom doesn’t miss. Or not, for the sake of objectivity, let us say this: almost none of the condom let the liquid.
